I took a trip down to Dawlish on the train last week.
If you don’t know where this is then you are missing a classic place, full of photographic opportunities.
It is reasonably famous for its seawall that gets pounded continually by the sea.
Dawlish is in Devon located on the coast roughly 15 miles west of Exeter. Unfortunately the weather omens were not too good as when we arrived at Exeter to change trains it was snowing – not a good start.
Roll on summer as this place is stunning when the weather is a bit more forgiving
Unfortunately the temperature didn’t rise at all during the day so it was bitterly cold with the wind chill as you walked along the sea wall.
I managed to grab a few photos as we walked along the wall and was lucky to get two trains passing. I converted this into a panoramic as the sky was pretty grim and added nothing to the overall picture.
